A sample of experience and clients

  • Consultancy assignments include:- developing a new organisation structure for an Employers Organisation following changes in a national service; developing and testing competencies for HR leaders in local authorities; reviewing joint training arrangements between 5 local authorities and their associated NHS partners and reviewing the effectiveness of recruitment and selection of trainee probation officers in London.
  • Developing and facilitating major culture change programmes including:- change leadership with Randstad Employment Bureau both European and UK based business; facilitating within 3 programmes with BAe Systems and working with numerous local authorities in developing performance and customer focused cultures.
  • Reviewing and developing Performance Management processes including Strategic planning with a Fire and Rescue Service, Service Planning with Liverpool City Council, developing corporate appraisal processes with Manchester City Council, Chorley Borough Council, Greater Manchester Passenger Transport Executive and Lancashire and Merseyside Probation Areas.
  • Team development at board, corporate management team and service team levels. Clients include Orange Netherlands, Northampton and Leicester Probation Boards and Burnley, Blackburn with Darwen and Flintshire Councils
  • Executive coaching for leaders in several private and public sector organisations. These include corporate directors and service managers in functions such as operations, education, environment, marketing, customer service, HR and research. Also career coaching for individuals.
  • Researching and writing examples of best practice in managing people and diversity in Probation Areas, published by the Home Office and co-authoring several articles and books. (see adjoining list)
